Testimonials about John Kuypers' Keynote Speeches:
Build Trust & Influence People
"One of the Board
members at the back of the room stopped me in the hall and said how great
he thought your material was, and what a shame it was that it had to be
crammed into such a short time!"

The Paradox of Change
John Kuypers gave a thought-provoking presentation on a
subject that most of us will have to deal with for the rest of our
lives—change. A divorced and remarried public speaker, John Kuypers brought
experience, wisdom, empathy and humour to the forefront of his message. He
had a captive audience from beginning to end as he described the tensions
and frictions that dogged his first marriage despite the best of
intentions. As he struggled to make sense of the failure of his marriage,
he got in touch with his true self and left the corporate world.
Deeply influenced by Christianity, John’s spirituality
was the catalyst for making him go deeper into himself, to better know
himself, God and how he fit into the Universe. By surrendering to the
universe’s forces, John was able to surrender himself and his ego to the
loving direction of his Higher Power. Striving only for progress, never
perfection, John demonstrated how difficult and yet how ultimately
satisfying letting go can really be.
He showed us that we have the power to change our
attitude toward the circumstances of our lives, whether that be serene
acceptance or courageous change. The only constant in our lives is change:
John’s gentle spirit invited us to use that change and the pain that
sometimes accompanies it to grow as human beings, spiritually, emotionally
and intellectually.

Dear John,
Let me start this letter by saying thanks for your inspiring session.
Members were engaged with your stories and metaphors about the challenges
you have faced in your journey to date.
A key indicator that I look for when a speaker has completed their
message, is the level of enthusiasm and follow through that I witness with
the audience. Our members were very connected to your message and took
substantial value away from the meeting. In addition, your style built
rapport very naturally and that added to the enjoyment my members
experienced during your session.
I’ve already been asked when I will have you speak again and that in
itself is a testament to your impact. Thanks again for your efforts and I
know our paths will cross again.
Sincerely,
J. Oliver Howey

Dear John,
On behalf of the executive of the
Toronto chapter of the International
Customer Service Association, I want
to thank you for your excellent
presentation to our group. Your topic of
What's Important Now: Listening in the
Present was very relevant to the many
members of our association whose main
job is to listen!
Your four step method was a great
technique and I think our members were
able to relate very well to your
examples of effectively listening.
This skill is not only crucial when
trying to resolve conflicts with an
upset customer but it's also crucial
in our private daily lives.
We enjoyed your stories
particularly when they related to your
personal experiences, your style and
audience participation exercises.
I would highly recommend your services
to other organizations looking for a
dynamic speaker who want to improve
customer loyalty by enhancing their
customer service staff's problem
resolution skills.
sincerely,
Cathie Dowell
